Which sunscreen suits my skin?

A sunscreen that suits your skin is extremely important. Your skin is the largest organ and is exposed to a lot of UV radiation. It is therefore important to use it responsibly and to protect yourself well against the sun, especially if you have sensitive skin! In this blog you can read which sunscreen suits your skin type.

A sunscreen for your skin type

Light skin

Light skin can be recognized by pale skin, often combined with blonde or red hair and light eyes. Someone with light skin is often more susceptible to sunburn. This is because the skin contains little pigment and is not yet used to a lot of UV radiation. With fair skin, we always recommend that you use at least an SPF of factor 30 – 50+. For example, go for light skin Australian gold with bronzer in factor 50 . The bronzer colors your skin beautifully and cares for your skin due to the Aloe Vera formula that is incorporated in it.

Dark skin

Dark skin can be recognized by naturally dark to light brown skin. Because dark skin contains a lot of pigment, you burn less quickly or never. We recommend an SPF factor 6 – 30 for dark skin. If you spend a whole day in full sun, a factor 30 cream offers sufficient protection.

Impure and oily skin

Impure skin in combination with sunscreen is often seen as something negative because certain ingredients in sunscreen can worsen acne. For the face, we always recommend a good sunscreen that is specially made for the face. We have a number of protective creams with SPF in our range, which you can apply in the natural sun.

However, there are sunscreens for the body that have a caring effect on impure skin, such as the Spray gel from Australian Gold in combination with the oil-free Soothing Aloe Vera Gel . This contains Kakadu Plum (rich in vitamin C), Aloe Vera, vitamin E, Australian tea tree oil and sunflower seed extract. As a result, it cares for your skin, creates a healthy glow and you are less likely to have breakouts than with a normal sunscreen without this nourishing formula.

Dry skin

Dry skin is characterized by flaky and sometimes even cracked skin. Dry skin often occurs in people over the age of 30. This is because the body produces less sebum, which reduces the fat layer on your skin. Another factor could be that you take long and hot showers or perhaps you drink too little in a day. This also makes your fat layer disappear faster. If you have dry skin, it is extra important that you apply sunscreen or lotion thoroughly. The Australian Gold Lotion with Bronzer contains Kakadu Plum Fruit extracts (the richest source of Vitamin C), Tea Tree Oil, sunflower seed extracts, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and cocoa butter extracts. This combination creates a pleasant layer on the skin that leaves the skin feeling nice and soft after use in the sun.

Normal skin

Normal skin feels soft and supple. In addition, there is no excessive fat production, which gives the skin a matte shine. With normal skin, it is best to choose a sunscreen spray gel with a caring effect, as the gel spray cools your skin refreshingly. Ideal on a warm summer day!
